National Parent Leadership Month

Get Ready to Recognize Parent Leaders!

We are very pleased to partner with Parents Anonymous¨ Inc. as a co-sponsor of National Parent Leadership Month. This important initiative will include a series of national, state, and local activities to recognize, honor, and celebrate parents for their leadership roles in their homes and communities. Parents Anonymous¨ Inc. has developed a Tool Kit with extensive resources to plan and organize activities for National Parent Leadership Month. Copies of this Tool Kit can be downloaded through the Parents Anonymous¨ Inc. Web site at www.parentsanonymous.org.

In addition to the partnership with Parents Anonymous¨ Inc., we are pleased to join a strong group of co-sponsors such as the Children's Bureau of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the federal Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), National Head Start Association, Prevent Child Abuse America, the National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds, Family Support America, National Respite Coalition and the Shasta Department of Social Services, Children and Family Services Division.

We anticipate that National Parent Leadership Month will be a strong catalyst for generating more active partnerships with parents in meaningful leadership roles. If you are interested in being a co-sponsor or wish to learn more about this exciting initiative, please contact Meryl Levine at Parents Anonymous¨ Inc. at 909-61-6184, ext. 220, or by e-mail at mlevine@parentsanonymous.org.
